Despite generally unfavorable avalanche conditions throughout much of February, a few days reared their heads with low danger on certain aspects. On one such day, I took advantage and got in a nice solo descent of the Southeast face/East ridge of the Pfiefferhorn.
The skinning was straightforward – up the trail to Red Pine Lake, continuing South, then ascending the prominent East facing ridge, and skinning across the top of Maybird until I reached the end of the skinning.
