Human powered adventures require strength and stamina. One way to develop both is to head to the local workout center or gym. I recently got a chance to exchange words with Jason Borro, co-founder of Fitlink, to ask him some questions about steering the motivational road.
A OK: What have you got going here – what’s the basic premise of FitLink?
Jason Borro: As you know from chasing others up mountains to ski, activity partners can be a great stimulus. We’ve created a simple service that helps people find and connect with those motivators, and given them tools to help stay accountable.
A OK: How does it work?
Jason Borro: Simply create an account and search for workout partners in your area. Be sure to add all your favorite activities to your profile so others with similar interests can find you. There’s a lot to choose from, including skiing, weight lifting, hiking, triathlon training, pilates, yoga, mountain biking, you name it. It’s not just indoor activity that’s represented, although there is plenty of that, excluding bowling.
